Anime Vanguards Evolution and Ascension Guide
Evolution changes a unit into a stronger form with improved stats, attacks, passives, or upgrade paths in Anime Vanguards. Ascension is a separate long-term upgrade for Mythic units, so the safest route is to evolve core units first, then ascend only the units that will stay in your main teams.
Choose the Final Unit Before Farming
Start with units that already carry your Story, Legend, Raid, Rift, Odyssey, Worldlines, or Boss Rush teams.

Evolve the Unit at the Upgrade Area
Use the Evolve station in the Upgrades area once the unit, materials, gold, and quest requirements are ready.

Use Current Memoria Rules
Update 13.5 changed Memoria progression. Memoria evolutions were removed, all Memoria are evolved by default, and unit evolutions now grant their designated Memoria.

Ascend Only Long-Term Mythic Units
Ascension is handled through the Kokashi NPC and applies only to Mythic units. It gives three stat upgrades across three ascension levels.

A full ascension plan requires the target unit, spare non-evolved unlocked non-shiny copies, and unit-specific materials.

Do not spend duplicate copies on a unit unless that unit is staying in your account plan.
Protect Ascension Before Rarity-Changing Evolution
When a Mythic unit evolves into Secret or Vanguard rarity, its ascensions are removed and do not transfer to the new form.
